I planned last night to make sure that I went for a decent run due to the fact that I've got the day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I had set my alarm for 7:00, but that didn't really work out. I ended up getting up at 8:40, showered, checked the weather to see what kind of cold running gear I needed to wear. Weather.com said that it was 32 but felt like 29. I decided to wear the tights. Today is the third Monday that I've run on since beginning my year-long goal. Today is the first day that I felt real resistance to getting out there. I thought that it might be due to the fact that yesterday I only walked .75 miles with Pamela, and my body (mind) was enjoying the break.
Abby and I jogged the Melton Lake Greenway then cut over onto some back roads (Warehouse -->Fairbanks -->Briarcliff --> Emory Valley). This connects back up with the Emory Valley Greenway.
I must say that the last half of a mile was exhilarating. I experienced the best runner's high yet. I cranked it out feeling that I could run another lap. I didn't of course. :)
I used runkeeper.com to plot the milage.
Monday is funday.
